    Men’s Support & Advocacy Program

Our trained male advocates offer guidance and support to men as they navigate pregnancy‑related decisions with their partners. Advocates encourage healthy communication, helping men listen actively, express support, and remain engaged emotionally and practically.

They also emphasize the importance of involving trusted family members or others who may be directly affected, fostering a strong network of support. Men are encouraged to gather accurate information, ask thoughtful questions, and seek advice from people they trust.

Through this process, our advocates help men feel confident, informed, and prepared to support their partners and families with care and responsibility.

    Fertility Awareness & Appreciation

We provide an overview of Natural Family Planning (NFP) to help couples understand a woman’s natural fertility patterns and use that knowledge to either achieve or postpone pregnancy.

By learning to observe simple, predictable signs throughout the menstrual cycle, couples gain a clearer understanding of how fertility works—without drugs, devices, or procedures. NFP encourages shared decision‑making, strengthens communication, and supports a healthy, holistic approach to family planning.

Many couples find that NFP deepens their relationship, builds mutual respect, and offers a natural, effective way to plan their family with confidence and peace of mind.

Additional Support Services

We understand that pregnancy loss—whether through natural circumstances or past abortion—can bring complex and lingering emotions. Many individuals carry unresolved feelings long after the experience itself. Our team offers compassionate, confidential support to help individuals process their grief, find clarity, and begin healing in a safe and understanding environment.

NEW MINISTRY

Pregnancy Loss Support

The Life Center partners with Red Bird Ministries to offer compassionate care for individuals and couples grieving the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss. Our Director of Pregnancy Loss Ministry is a trained and certified Red Bird Facilitator and Grief Leader, equipped to support families through the profound emotional and spiritual weight of this experience.

Pregnancy and infant loss affects thousands of families, yet it remains a largely unspoken grief—often overlooked by mainstream culture and even within the Church. The reality is sobering:

  • 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage before 20 weeks

  • 1 in 160 pregnancies ends in stillbirth

  • 1 in 250 babies dies before one month of life

  • 1 in 333 babies is diagnosed in utero with a life-limiting condition, with parents often pressured to consider abortion rather than carrying to term

Red Bird Ministries is a nonprofit, pro‑life, pro‑family Catholic grief support ministry that accompanies families who have been given an extraordinary cross to carry. Through a structured and compassionate approach rooted in the Catholic faith, Red Bird offers a safe space for grief, healing, and hope—supporting both mothers and fathers as they navigate the complexity of child loss.

In partnership with Red Bird, the Life Center provides families with tools to grieve honestly, strengthen communication, and move toward healing through the grace, wisdom, and sacramental life of the Church.

If you know someone seeking support after the loss of a child, please encourage them to contact Lorraine Gariboldi at (516) 798‑9100.

Post-Abortion Healing Ministry

For many women, abortion is a complex and deeply personal decision that can shape how they see themselves. Questions about control, responsibility, morality, and identity often arise: Am I taking charge of my life or losing control? Am I acting responsibly or irresponsibly? Am I honoring my values or betraying them? Am I delaying motherhood for the right reasons, or am I already a mother who will grieve this loss? These are difficult reflections that many face both before and after an abortion.

Our Post‑Abortion Healing Ministry supports both men and women as they navigate this emotional journey. The program is confidential, compassionate, and nonjudgmental. It offers weekend retreats, support groups, and Bible studies designed to provide space for healing, understanding, and renewed hope.

Healing a Father’s Heart

Healing a Father’s Heart is a post‑abortion Bible study designed to help men honestly confront the emotions and struggles that often follow an abortion experience. This program gently guides men through the stages of post‑abortion stress, helping them move from denial and hidden pain toward acceptance, forgiveness, and renewed hope.

Through Scripture, reflection, and guided discussion, men are invited to understand God’s steady, compassionate character and His desire to bring healing to their hearts. This study offers a supportive space where men can process their grief, find clarity, and begin restoring their sense of identity, purpose, and peace.

If you are pregnant, parenting, or navigating a difficult decision, please know you do not have to walk this path alone. The Life Center provides compassionate, confidential support and practical resources for women, men and families at every stage. To learn more, visit our Women First website.
